Corinth Pipeworks’ pipes to connect Asia to Europe – TANAP offshore pipeline

Brussels, 22 March 2018

Cenergy Holdings announces that its subsidiary Corinth Pipeworks supplied 37Km of DNV SAWL 450FD 36” steel pipes with 3LPE anticorrosion coating and concrete weight coating for the TANAP offshore pipeline to SapuraEnergy, a leading global integrated oil and gas services and solutions provider operating across the entire upstream value chain.

Pipe laying by SapuraEnergy of the TANAP offshore pipeline at the Dardanelles Strait in the Sea of Marmara is already complete.

All pipe manufacturing and coating was conducted at Corinth Pipeworks’ Thisvi plant in Greece, from where pipes were loaded directly to Sapura’s vessel during the installation phase.

TANAP Project along with the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) form the elements of the Southern Gas Corridor and brings natural gas produced from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz-2 gas field to Europe.
