Cenergy Holdings announces that Hellenic Cables, its cables segment, signed an agreement with Vattenfall to supply the inter-array cables for the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone. Hellenic Cables will supply the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone with approximately 850km of aluminum conductor cables which will link the wind turbines of each string and each string to the offshore substation, thus assisting to energize what will result in one of the largest offshore wind zones in the world.

Under this contract, Hellenic Cables will design, manufacture, test and supply the 66kV XLPE-insulated subsea inter-array cables and the associated accessories.

The cables will be produced at Hellenic Cables’ modern, vertically integrated submarine cables plant in Corinth, Greece.  Cable production will take place from 2025 to 2028 according to the project’s delivery time schedule.

The Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone will provide electricity to approximately 4.6 million homes, and upon its completion, it will be one of the largest offshore wind zones in the world.
