Hellenic Cables signs new contract with Denmark’s Energinet for High Voltage Submarine Cables
Brussels, 9 March 2021
Cenergy Holdings SA announces that Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, resumes its partnership with Denmark’s Transmission System Operator Energinet. Hellenic Cables was awarded another contract for the complete supply of a 145 kV cable system connecting Amager Power Plant (AMV) to Svanemølle substation (SMK) in Denmark. According to Energinet, the project contributes to the creation of a climate-neutral supply chain in the industry.
Hellenic Cables will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, supply and transportation of about 11 km of 145 kV, XLPE insulated submarine cables. The scope of work includes also the supply of related accessories and supervision work.
The cables will be manufactured in Hellenic Cables’ state-of-the-art submarine cable production plant in Corinth, Greece, a world-class manufacturing facility for high and extra-high voltage submarine cables for offshore applications. Manufacturing is expected to be completed in autumn of 2021.
